The cooperation prospects were discussed with World Bank officials in the fields of infrastructure, digital development, and energy in the meeting held at the Ministry of Economy.
Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov met with World Bank’s Infrastructure Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia Charles Cormier, as well as Regional Director for Equitable Growth, Finance and Institutions Asad Alam.
The Minister of Economy mentioned that great importance is attached to cooperation with the World Bank and the diversity of relations, and emphasized the successful cooperation with the Bank in improving the investment environment, public-private sector partnership, private sector diagnostics, innovations, development of management technologies, supporting small and medium entrepreneurship and other areas.
World Bank’s Infrastructure Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia Charles Cormier, expressed his interest in close cooperation with the Government of Azerbaijan in the direction of achieving the Bank's strategic development goals, and shared his views on the projects to be financed by the Bank.
The projects implemented in our country with the support of the World Bank and the prospects of cooperation in the fields of infrastructure, digital development and energy were discussed at the meeting.
