The Ministry of Economy held an event dedicated to Day of Azerbaijan Television and Radio on November 6 with the participation of a number of TV workers and representatives of the Ministry.
First Deputy Minister of Economy Elnur Aliyev pointed out at the event that socio-economic development in Azerbaijan has created a fertile ground for various fields, including media development in the modern era. The importance of various state support measures for the media and the improvement of legislation was emphasized.
It was stated that television and radio present the culture, socio-political life and achievements of our nation to the local and international audience, convey the examples of culture, science and education of the world to the audience of Azerbaijan. Television and radio workers have particularly made important contributions and hard work in the development of various areas of the economy, as well as in the private sector, in educating the society and entrepreneurs in this direction.
Elnur Aliyev expressed his gratitude to all the TV and radio workers who worked in this field and wished them success in their activities on behalf of the Ministry of Economy.
The television employees said that the support provided by the state to the development of the media was highly appreciated by journalists and the public, and that they will continue to work diligently for the sake of the socio-economic development of our country.

The gifts consisted of unique handicraft samples made on the basis of pomegranate, one of the most charming elements of our national ornament, of the National Center for Traditional Arts operating under the Administration of State Historical-Architectural Reserve "Icherisheher". The center has been operating since 2012 as a result of the joint cooperation between Administration of State Historical-Architectural Reserve "Icherisheher" and the Prince's Foundation School of Traditional Arts of Great Britain.
