A session was held devoting to efficient transport connections within the framework of the Economic Forum on the theme "Transformation of the SPECA region into a global communication hub".
A session on "Transport connectivity for more efficient Eurasian transport linkages" was held within the framework of the Economic Forum on "Transformation of the SPECA region into a global communication hub". The representative of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan, Sapar Bektashov acted as the main speaker and emphasized at the event moderated by Vladanka Andreyeva, the resident coordinator of the UN in Azerbaijan, that his country attaches great importance to transport and logistics relations, and emphasized the importance of increasing the transportation of goods along the Middle Corridor. The issues of attracting more cargo to the Eurasian transport corridors, increasing international transit opportunities to expand national economies, and digitizing transport operations were considered at the session. Ideas were also exchanged regarding the elimination of existing obstacles to increase the competitiveness of transit-logistics operations.
The forum will continue its work with the next sessions on November 22.
