A round table was held at the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy on the topic "Fighting corruption and ensuring transparency: work done by the State Tax Service". Heads of relevant structural units of the State Tax Service, independent experts, heads of public associations and non-governmental organizations participated at the meeting.
Information was provided at the round table on the work done within the framework of the "National Action Plan for 2022-2026 on strengthening the fight against corruption", and the measures implemented by the State Tax Service in this direction. The event participants touched upon the measures implemented in the direction of increasing transparency in the activities of state institutions, and emphasized the importance of prevention of situations that create conditions for corruption, and the importance of the measures taken to be sustainable. The provision of an appropriate legal environment, the approaches applied in international practice, the requirements arising from the National Action Plan and determined for state institutions were discussed in this process. Opinions were exchanged on taxpayers' opportunities to provide information on corruption cases and actions (inactions) of tax authority employees, informing taxpayers and civil society about these opportunities, the status of considering complaints and appeals, and the services provided to taxpayers.
Alimammad Nuriyev, president of the "Constitution" Researches Foundation, Sahib Mammadov, head of the Citizens' Labor Rights Protection League, economist expert Rashad Hasanov, human resources and labor law experts Nihat Aliyev and Nusrat Khalilov, tax experts Emin Sattarov and Anar Bayramov shared their views on various issues.
