Cooperation prospects with member countries of the organization were discussed at the 39th meeting of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Istanbul.
Improvement of cooperation between member states in e-commerce, as well as finance, transport, digitalization, private sector, agriculture, tourism and other fields discussions were held at the 39th meeting of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation (COMCEC) of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Istanbul, Turkey.
Making a speech at the event, the head of the Azerbaijani delegation, Deputy Minister of Economy, Sahib Mammadov emphasized that our country attaches importance to the development of partnership with OIC countries. Information was provided at the meeting on the work done in the field of digital trade, diversification of the country's economy, development of a sustainable and competitive tourism sector, increasing productivity in agriculture, ensuring sustainable food security, and cooperation with OIC member countries in the direction of poverty reduction.
Note: COMCEC, established in 1981 at the 3rd OIC Summit in Mecca is the main platform for multilateral economic and commercial cooperation. COMCEC, which is one of the 4 standing committees of the OIC, has 6 sectoral working groups (commercial, finance, transport and communication, agriculture, tourism and poverty reduction).
