A discussion was held at the meeting with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations at the Ministry of Economy, regarding the potential format of partnership, the provision of food security and the application of innovative mechanisms in the agricultural field, and the development of agriculture in our territories liberated from occupation.
Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov met with the representative of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in Azerbaijan, Muhammad Nasar Hayat.
The Minister of Economy emphasized that effective partnership between Azerbaijan and FAO contributes to a number of areas of the economy, including strengthening of agriculture and food security, effective management of natural resources. It was pointed out that jointly implemented projects create favorable conditions for investment in rural areas and increase agricultural employment.
Muhammad Nasar Hayat mentioned that Azerbaijan is one of the important partners of FAO. The official of the institution stated that there is great potential for the implementation of joint programs in other areas, including the digital development of rural areas, and shared his views on the directions of mutual cooperation expansion.
The parties exchanged views on the potential format of cooperation between FAO and Azerbaijan, the provision of food security and the application of innovative mechanisms in the agricultural field, and the development of agriculture in our territories liberated from occupation.
