The delegation of Azerbaijan participated in the discussions held within the framework of the "Eurasia Week 2023".
Panel discussions were organized within the framework of the "Eurasia Week 2023" of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in Paris, the capital of France. Azerbaijan was represented by a delegation headed by Deputy Minister of Economy Sahib Mammadov at the panel sessions on "Resilience and Recovery: Overcoming the Shocks of Pandemic and War ", "Connecting Eurasia: Trade and Transport".
Institutional reforms carried out by the government of Azerbaijan against a complex global economic background, continuously developing and diversifying country's economy as a result of multilateral business support mechanisms, mega transport and energy projects, business environment further improvement, further strengthening of digital transformation and innovation orientation of the economy, financial stability was pointed out at the event attended by Leyla Abdullayeva, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to France.
The large-scale restoration and construction works carried out in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan were discussed in the panel sessions, and it was emphasized that this territory was declared a "green" energy zone by the head of state.
Discussions were held at the meeting of the Steering Committee of the OECD Competitiveness Program held within the framework of the "Eurasia Week 2023" on resilience and recovery to overcome pandemic and war shocks, business environment and reforms in Eurasia, transition to low carbon, strategic frameworks for sustainable infrastructure and other topics.
The effective cooperation of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development with our country was emphasized at the event. Referring to the decision of Azerbaijan to host the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), gratitude was expressed to the countries that supported our country, and members of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development were invited to actively participate in the event.
