The number of SME-friend offices in Lankaran-Astara economic district has reached 5, and 47 across the country.
The 5th SME-friend office of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMB) in the Lankaran-Astara economic region has started operating. Therefore, the number of SME-friend offices providing on-site support and service to entrepreneurs has reached 47 across the country.
A meeting was held with entrepreneurs, and an introduction to the SME friendly office was held on December 19 in Lerik district. Ideas were exchanged on the needs of business, the difficulties encountered by entrepreneurs, and suggestions were heard at the meeting organized with the participation of relevant state institutions and entrepreneurs operating in the region.
Akbar Abbasov, the head of the Lerik District Executive Authority, and Orkhan Mammadov, the chairman of the Board of Directors of KOBIA, made a speech at the meeting. The potential for business in the Lankaran-Astara economic region, state support for the development of entrepreneurship, innovations in this field, as well as KOBIA's support and services for micro, small and medium entrepreneurs were reported in the speeches. It was pointed out that Lerik region mainly specializes in agriculture. However, there are ample opportunities for business activities in areas such as tourism, animal husbandry and beekeeping. 5 SME-friendly offices in the region provide support for the creation of new businesses in the region, development of existing entrepreneurial activities, solutions to businessmen's problems and protection of their legal interests. The SME-friend network covers 5 of the 6 administrative districts included with the opening of the 5th SME-friend office in the region in Lerik,in the Lankaran-Astara economic district. KOB friends provide services to the surrounding cities and regions in addition to the area where they operate.
Films about the SME-friend mechanism, KOBIA's support to micro and small entrepreneurs were also demonstrated at the event, and questions of entrepreneurs were answered.
Then the event participants got acquainted with the conditions created for providing support and services to entrepreneurs in the SME-friend office located in the administrative building of the Lerik District Executive Authority.
Representatives of KOBIA got acquainted with the activities of beekeeping in Lankaran region and were interested in the business needs of entrepreneurs within the framework of the visit to the region. It should be mentioned that the owner of the relevant farm was provided a grant by KOBIA for the development of equipment that increases productivity in beekeeping.
