Prospects of energy cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey were reviewed.
Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov and SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf met with Alparslan Bayraktar, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey, who is visiting our country.
The Minister of Economy emphasized at the meeting the efficient energy partnership between our countries, the jointly implemented projects serve regional development, stability and security, and ensure the strategic interests of Azerbaijan and Turkey. In this regard, SOCAR's multifaceted activities in Turkey were noted with great satisfaction.
Alparslan Bayraktar, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey, shared his views on the development of energy partnership in line with new global trends. It was pointed out that the COP29 event, which will be organized in Azerbaijan this year, will stimulate discussions in alternative energy and other fields and open new opportunities for cooperation.
The current and future opportunities for cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey in the fields of economy, including energy, were reviewed, and other issues of mutual interest were exchanged at the meeting.
