At the Ministry of Economy, a meeting was held with the president of Hungary's "MOL Group" company, during which the diversification of activities in the energy sector was discussed.
Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov met with Zolt Hernadi, President of Hungary's "MOL Group" company, who is visiting our country as part of the Baku Energy Week.
During the meeting, satisfaction was expressed with the effective cooperation relations with “MOL Group.” The importance of energy security issues and diversification of energy resources was emphasized. Azerbaijan’s role as a reliable partner in this area was highlighted.
The parties discussed MOL Group’s operations in Azerbaijan and prospects for future cooperation. They exchanged views on the development of the partnership between MOL and SOCAR, as well as the expansion of activities in the energy sector.
It should be noted that MOL Group is an international, integrated oil, gas, petrochemical, and retail company operating in more than 30 countries. As the third largest shareholder in the “Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli” project, MOL Group holds exploration and production assets in nine countries, including Azerbaijan.
