First meeting held by Coordinating Group on the "State Program for Socio-Economic Development of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic for 2023-2027"

The first meeting of the Coordinating Group of the Commission on Business Environment and International Ratings on the "State Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic for 2023-2027" was held in online format.

Representatives of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, the Ministries of Economy, Energy, Digital Development and Transport, Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Central Bank, the State Customs Committee, and the State Tourism Agency participated in the meeting held in the format of mutual discussions of representatives of state institutions.

It was noted at the meeting that the "State Program for the socio-economic development of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic for 2023-2027" was approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated June 5, 2023. The goals of the State Program are to accelerate the socio-economic development of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and ensure its full integration into the country's economy by ensuring sustainable economic growth and improving the living standards of citizens.

A special Coordinating Group was established under the leadership of the Ministry of Economy within the Commission on Business Environment and International Ratings for the purpose of more effective and qualitative implementation of the measures provided for in the Action Plan for the implementation of the State Program, which consists of 81 measures on 11 priorities.  

It was reported at the meeting that currently 25 working groups on socio-economic fields, 4 subgroups and a coordination group on the Global Innovation Index operate within the Commission for Business Environment and International Ratings. More than 600 members, including representatives of the private sector, business associations, non-governmental organizations and academic institutions, operate in the mentioned groups.

The representatives of the main executive institutions of the Action Plan reported on the work done on relevant projects and the goals set for the current year.

Specific directions for the preparation of the project of the Road Map for 2024 on the activities of the Coordination Group were determined at the meeting, it was decided to prepare a preliminary draft of the mechanism for discussion with the participation of the private sector in other working groups through the digital management platform of the Commission on Business Environment and International Ratings within the framework of the State Program, and send it to the members of the coordinating group for feedback.
