The 15th anniversary of the establishment of the Financial Monitoring Service was celebrated on February 23. In this regard, the staff of the Service visited the Alley of Honor and honored the memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev. Then, the graves of our heroes who lost their lives in the struggle for the freedom of our country were visited in the Alley of Martyrs.
Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov congratulated the staff of the Service on the special day and wished them success in their future activities at the event dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the Financial Monitoring Service. It was emphasized that the policy implemented under the leadership of the head of state serves the sustainable development of a fair market and healthy economic and financial relations in Azerbaijan, as well as the strengthening of economic security. The special role of the Financial Monitoring Service was noted as a successful result of the 5th MONEYVAL evaluation process of the Council of Europe for our country.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the institution, Zaur Fatizade, made a presentation on the successes achieved by the Financial Monitoring Service, the steps taken in the direction of the legalization of the property obtained through crime and the formation and development of the system of combating the financing of terrorism according to international standards.
