The implementation status of the wind power plant project implemented in Azerbaijan, sea water desalination and potential cooperation in other projects were discussed at the meeting with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of "ACWA Power" company at the Ministry of Economy.
Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov met with Chairman of the Board of Directors of "ACWA Power" company of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mohammad Abunayyan.
It was emphasized at the meeting that the cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in all spheres of the economy, especially in the field of renewable energy, is expanding. It was pointed out that cooperation with investors from this country plays an important role in the realization of our goals in the direction of ensuring the transition to "green" energy. The project on the construction of the Wind Power Station in Azerbaijan by the "ACWA Power" company was evaluated as an important example of our cooperation.
The parties exchanged views on joint initiatives in the field of renewable energy, the implementation status of the wind power plant project implemented in Azerbaijan, sea water desalination and potential cooperation opportunities in other projects.
