The issues of expanding economic relations were discussed in the meeting between the Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov and the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Croatia Damir Habijan.
It was emphasized during the meeting of Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov with Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Croatia Damir Habijan that the economic relations between the two countries are developing. It was mentioned that purposeful initiatives are being implemented to expand cooperation in various directions. Mutual business visits, the expansion of relations between business circles contribute to the strengthening of economic and trade relations. Trade relations between our countries are developing. The trade turnover in January 2024 increased almost 4 times in comparison with the corresponding period of 2023. There are ample opportunities to strengthen the partnership with Croatia in trade, investment, industry, renewable energy, demining, tourism and other areas.
Information was provided at the meeting about the favorable business environment of Azerbaijan, the opportunities created for investors, the business potential of our territories liberated from occupation, and Croatian investors were invited to take advantage of the business opportunities in our country.
Croatian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Damir Habijan pointed out that his country attaches importance to the development of economic relations with Azerbaijan, and expressed his views on the directions of strengthening the partnership. It was stressed that the projects implemented to deliver energy to European markets increase the role of Azerbaijan as a reliable energy supplier.
The parties considered the issues of expanding economic relations, promoting joint investments and trade, cooperation in alternative energy and industry, as well as strengthening cooperation between business circles.
