The President of the Republic of Iraq Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid received the Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov, the President of SOCAR Rovshan Najaf and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Iraq Nasir Mammadov. İt was emphasized at the meeting that the relations between Azerbaijan and Iraq are expanding in the directions determined by the heads of state.
They expressed satisfaction at the meeting with the upward development of the Azerbaijan-Iraq partnership, and considered the possibilities of realizing the economic potential between the two countries. It was mentioned that both sides have the potential for more effective cooperation in economic and commercial, energy, non-oil and gas, tourism and other fields. Confidence was expressed that the issues discussed during the visit of the Azerbaijani delegation will make an important contribution to effective cooperation between the countries.
