The Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated November 22, 2013 "On Public Participation", Decree No. 89 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated January 16, 2014, and the Decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated May 30, 2014 on the application of this Law " In accordance with the Regulation on the election of the public council by civil society institutions, the process of nominating and registering candidates for the Public Council will be carried out between April 5 and May 3, 2024, at the Vocational Education Center under the Economic Zones Development Agency.
The following documents should be submitted about the candidate nominated by the civil society institute:
- Copy of the identity card;
- Biography of the candidate ;
- A copy of the document confirming the candidate's membership in a civil society institution;
- A document proving that the person has experience or knowledge in the field of education, training and social support (if any, labor a copy of his handbook, and if there is no work handbook, other documents that will confirm the information).
Each civil society institute can nominate only one candidate for the membership of the Public Council.
The requirements for the civil society institute and the candidates nominated by it are as follows:
- Being an able-bodied citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan who has reached the age of 16, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, language, gender, origin, property status, service position, belief, affiliation to political parties, trade unions and other public associations;
- Active activity of a civil society institution;
- If he has a conviction, it has been taken or paid;
- There is no pending criminal case against him.
The registration of the candidate for the public council will be reviewed by the election commission within three working days, and the relevant decision will be made and the candidate will be informed by e-mail.
According to the conditions mentioned above the registration of the candidacy of those who are absent will be refused.
Elections to the Public Council will be held within one month after the completion of the nomination process.
The number of members of the Public Council has been determined by the Election Commission, which was established for the purpose of organizing elections for Council membership and determining the number of members of the Public Council.
