At the meeting held with Lyu Zexiang, the Chairman of “China Energy International Group Co., Ltd.”, at the Ministry of Economy, potential projects in the energy sector, the opportunities for producing green hydrogen and green ammonia in Azerbaijan have been discussed.
Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov has held a meeting with Lyu Zexiang, the Chairman of “China Energy International Group Co., Ltd.”.
It was highlighted at the meeting that the trade and investment relations between Azerbaijan and the People’s Republic of China are successfully developing, and both countries place great importance on the mutual ties. It was noted that the 6th Azerbaijan Trade House has started operating in China. The parties also emphasized that companies with the Chinese investments operate in our country, and the two countries enjoy the successful investment cooperation.
Information was provided on Azerbaijan’s conducive business and investment climate, as well as the concessions and incentives applied in the liberated territories. The parties also gave information about our country’s abundant renewable energy potential, speeding up the green energy transition, as well as the progress made in adopting renewable energy technologies. The parties stressed the opportunities for cooperation with the international companies which have advanced experience in the field of green energy, as well as touched upon the potential projects in this area.
The sides also exchanged views on the production of green hydrogen and green ammonia in Azerbaijan. Prospects for cooperation in the utilization of solar energy in the liberated territories were discussed. It was highlighted that the future collaboration will be mutually beneficial for both parties.
