Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov has held a meeting with Anna Bordon, the head of the International Monetary Fund mission for Azerbaijan.
The Minister of Economy has highlighted the importance of the multi-faceted and efficient cooperation relations with international financial institutions. Additionally, it has been noted that the relations with the International Monetary Fund are dynamically developing. At the meeting, information has been provided on the economic reforms in Azerbaijan and the results achieved, the development goals, the restoration projects underway in our liberated territories, as well as the progress made on COP29 and other issues.
Head of the International Monetary Fund mission for Azerbaijan Anna Bordon has stressed that the ties between the institution and Azerbaijan are expanding. She has also shared views on the partnership with our country.
The parties have also exchanged views on our country’s macroeconomic indicators and the outcomes of the reforms in the business sector, the initiatives aimed at promoting the economic diversification, as well as the planned reforms in tax administration.
