At the meeting with Péter Szijjártó, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, the joint projects enhancing the mutual economic relations, as well as the active cooperation in the fields of energy, transportation, pharmaceuticals have been discussed. The document on the Hungarian MVM company’s acquisition of shares in the Shahdeniz project has been signed within the framework of the meeting.
Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov and SOCAR’s President Rovshan Najaf have held a meeting with Péter Szijjártó, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary.
The parties emphasized at the meeting that the economic relations are developing due to the great importance attached by the leaders of the two countries to the advancement of the ties, as well as the efficient use of the existing potential. It was noted that the second document signed on the strategic partnership in January of last year, as well as more than 50 documents signed in the fields of the investment promotion, economic collaboration, prevention of double taxation, create a robust foundation for expanding the cooperation in all sectors.
The parties have also touched upon the issues arising from the cooperation agreement between “Azerbaijan Investment Company” OJSC and Hungary’s “Hell Energy” company, as well as the current situation.
The parties have exchanged views on the joint projects bolstering the mutual economic relations, the active cooperation in the areas of energy, transportation, pharmaceuticals, the operations of Hungarian companies in our country, as well as the promotion of the investment partnership.
As part of the meeting, the document on the Hungarian MVM company’s acquisition of shares in the Shahdeniz project has been signed. It has been highlighted that the document will further enhance the economic and energy partnership between our countries.
