Views were exchanged on the cooperation in infrastructure projects, the private sector and other fields at the meeting with Iraq’s Minister of Trade.
Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov held a meeting with Atheer Dawood Salman Al Ghurairi, Iraq’s Minister of Trade.
At the meeting, it was noted that the relations with Iraq are dynamically developing, and there are favorable conditions for expanding the bilateral economic and trade cooperation in various fields. It was emphasized that Iraqi companies are operating in Azerbaijan in various fields. Moreover, Azerbaijani companies may expand their participation in infrastructure projects in Iraq. Along with this, there are great prospects for developing the relations in trade, industry, energy, transportation, the private sector, tourism and other sectors.
The parties assessed promoting the economic and trade relations, mutual investments and collaboration.
The parties also highlighted the significance of strengthening the cooperation among the business communities, increasing the trade turnover and supporting the joint activities aimed at implementing infrastructure projects.
