The "4SI Academy" was recognized for its active promotion of acquiring knowledge and skills in the field of artificial intelligence, preparing qualified professionals for the labor market, advancing digital skills, enhancing knowledge in advanced technologies, and contributing to the implementation of innovative solutions. It was selected from over 180 projects submitted by 42 countries partnering with Coursera.
The award was presented to Fariz Jafarov, Executive Director of the Center for Analysis and Coordination of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4SIM), by Andrew Ng, co-founder and chairman of Coursera, and professor at Stanford University, during the "Coursera Network Conference" held in Las Vegas, USA, on September 17. At the conference, F. Jafarov delivered a presentation about the "4SI Academy" and shared the project's success story with the participants.
It was stated that the purpose of the "4SI Academy" is to support the development of digital skills in the country, increase knowledge in advanced technologies, and help prepare qualified personnel for the labor market. Within the framework of the project, 10,000 people across the country benefited from the Coursera online education platform free of charge over one year. Users participated in more than 32,000 hours of video lectures on 4IR technologies, artificial intelligence, machine learning, big data, data analytics, blockchain, cloud technologies, programming languages, as well as leadership, communication, business, and management. Those who successfully completed the training received more than 4,000 international certificates in total. The project is planned to continue as a "National Program," during which 200,000 citizens will be given the opportunity to develop their knowledge and skills in the technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
The globally popular educational platform "Coursera" annually presents the "Outstanding Achievement Award" to partners who have made significant advancements in human capital development. Selection criteria include the number of participants engaged in online education through the platform, the number of international certificates obtained, and the impact on career advancement based on newly acquired skills and knowledge.
