Azerbaijan – Slovakia Business Forum held in Baku

At the Business Forum, information was provided about our countries’ business and investment climate; future collaboration prospects were discussed.

The Azerbaijan – Slovakia Business Forum was held in Baku by AZPROMO and Slovakia’s Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) with the support of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Economy and Slovakia’s Ministry of Economy. Along with officials from both countries, representatives of companies operating in the fields of ICT, education, transportation, energy, defense industry, pharmaceuticals, food industry and others participated in the event.

Deputy Minister of Economy Anar Akhundov emphasized that the relations between our countries have reached the level of strategic partnership and commended the mutually beneficial trade and investment ties. The importance of increasing ties among entrepreneurs and intensifying the works in this regard by the relevant institutions was highlighted. The parties noted that the systematic work is underway to attract investments to Azerbaijan, improve the business and investment environment both institutionally and practically.

Slovakia’s Deputy Minister of Economy Kamil Šaško underscored that the economic and trade cooperation between the two countries is strengthening and emphasized the significance of promoting collaboration among the business communities and reciprocal investments. The Deputy Minister of Economy also noted that there are wide prospects for cooperation across various sectors.

The forum featured presentations by representatives from AZPROMO and SARIO who outlined the investment and export potential of both countries.

The Business Forum concluded with B2B meetings.
