Opportunities for cooperation were discussed at the meeting of the Azerbaijan-Saudi Arabia Joint Business Council, which was attended by representatives of state and private institutions.
The 5th meeting of the Azerbaijan-Saudi Arabia Joint Business Council was held in Baku. Officials and businessmen from both countries took part in the event organized by the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA) and the Federation of Saudi Arabia of Chamber.
First Deputy Minister of Economy Elnur Aliyev and Chairman of the Federation of Saudi Chambers of Commerce and Industry Hassan Al-Huwaizi shared their views at the meeting on economic and trade relations, investment and export opportunities between the two countries.
Co-chairmen of the Business Council - Ahmed Ali Al Dakhil, Chief Executive Officer of "Al Rajhi International for Investment" and Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of KOBIA, Valeh Alasgarov, Chairman of the Board of the authorized institution of the Alat Free Economic Zone, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Azerbaijan Essam bin Saleh Al-Jutaili, Mammad Musayev, President of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of Azerbaijan and Yusif Abdullayev, executive director of the Export and Investment Promotion Agency - AZPROMO informed about the prospects of expanding trade and investment relations between business circles, the support and services provided to local and foreign businessmen in Azerbaijan, and the activities of the Business Council.
Ideas were also exchanged on the implementation of joint initiatives and projects with the participation of businessmen of both countries, strengthening the role of the Azerbaijan-Saudi Arabia Joint Business Council in the field of expanding relations between business circles, increasing the role of SMEs in promoting mutual investments, presentations and B2B between businessmen meetings were held within the framework of the event.
Note: Azerbaijan-Saudi Arabia Joint Business Council was established in 2022. The Business Council, represented by business representatives from both countries, supports the initiatives of entrepreneurs, helps to establish direct relations between them, organizes mutual visits, meetings and various events, carries out information exchange between businessmen.
