The "Global Innovation Index - 2024" report discussed indicators related to Azerbaijan and explored overall coordination opportunities.
The Commission on Business Environment and International Rankings held its next meeting of the coordination group for the Global Innovation Index, led by the Ministry of Economy.
At the event, the head of the coordination group, Deputy Minister of Economy Samad Bashirli, provided information on the measures being implemented to ensure the business environment and competitive innovative development in our country, as well as the activities and main objectives of the coordination group.
The Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport, Samir Mammadov, emphasized the necessity of establishing communication in connection with other working groups created regarding the relevant items mentioned in the "Global Innovation Index - 2024" report.
The head of the Commission's Secretariat, Vusal Shıkhaliyev, the sector manager of the Economic Policy and Industry Issues Department of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, emphasized the importance of focusing on the methodology for systematizing data regarding our country in the "Global Innovation Index" reports. He also noted the necessity for the relevant working groups to collaborate with the World Intellectual Property Organization.
During the meeting, the activities carried out by the institutions represented in the coordination group over the past year were discussed, along with the indicators for Azerbaijan in the "Global Innovation Index - 2024" report and the examination of overall coordination capabilities.
At the end of the meeting, questions from the members of the Coordination Group and representatives of other relevant working groups invited to the meeting were answered.
