The Ministry of Economy to organize events and meetings, sign documents in the framework of COP29

As part of COP29, events dedicated to various issues will be organized in partnership with the Ministry of Economy, with meetings involving international organizations and officials from other countries.

On November 13, within the framework of COP29, the Ministry of Economy will organize a High-Level Session with the World Economic Forum on the topic "The Power of Collaboration Unifying Forces for Net Zero."

On November 14, as part of Finance, Investment, and Trade Day (Climate FIT Day) jointly organized by the Ministry of Economy and the World Trade Organization (WTO), the Baku Initiative for Climate Finance, Investment, and Trade (BICFIT) will be presented.

A series of events will be organized under the Business, Investment, and Philanthropy Climate Platform, where discussions on climate finance and strategic partnerships will take place.

An event titled "Empowering a Sustainable Future: Driving Green Growth through Finance" will be held within the framework of COP29, during which the Climate Finance Action Fund (CFAF) will be presented.

Ministerial meetings will be held to discuss the CAREC Partnership on Climate, Innovation, and Trade; the Organization of Turkic States Partnership on Climate, Innovation, Green Economy, and Trade ,and the SPECA Climate and Innovation Dialogue.

As part of COP29 on November 15, Energy, Peace, Aid, and Recovery Day, events will include the presentation of the “Green Growth” portal, developed through collaboration between the Ministry of Economy and Harvard University's Growth Lab International Development Center. Additionally, sessions will be held on topics such as "Carbon Pricing: Current Challenges and New Strategies" and "Developing Sustainable Finance and Climate Resilience Strategies through Public-Private Partnership Projects and the Role of the Private Sector in Addressing Climate Change."

As part of COP29 on November 16, Science, Technology, and Innovation - Digitalization Day, a conference titled "The Role of SMEs in the Green Economy" will be held. Events will also cover topics such as "The Impact of Artificial Intelligence: A New Era of Governance in the Digital Economy through Technological Forecasting" and "The Transformative Power of Artificial Intelligence: Reducing Environmental Impacts and Promoting Sustainable Development," along with other related subjects.

As part of COP29, on November 20—Urbanization, Transport, and Tourism Day—a roundtable with green city leaders from the SPECA region under the EBRD's initiative is planned. Additionally, a briefing on the SPECA Multi-Partner Trust Fund will be organized.

As part of COP29, the Ministry of Economy and its affiliated entities plan to sign documents with the Islamic Development Bank, the International Trade Centre, and several foreign companies.

In addition, the Ministry of Economy will hold a series of meetings with officials from international organizations and other countries.
