At the meeting with the President of the OPEC Fund for International Development, held within the framework of COP29, energy security and prospects for cooperation were mulled.
As part of COP29, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov has held a meeting with Dr. Abdulhamid Alkhalifa, the President of the OPEC Fund for International Development.
The parties exchanged views on joint activities in promoting the mutual relations, as well as the projects aimed at financing renewable energy and the private sector.
The importance of the energy transition in climate action based on inclusive terms was highlighted. The parties also discussed sustainable development, energy security, priorities of the economic diversification and prospects for bilateral collaboration.
