Azerbaijani delegation participates 10th World Halal Summit in Istanbul

At the World Halal Summit, Azerbaijan's contributions to the heritage of Islamic solidarity were highlighted.

The 10th World Halal Summit and, as part of the summit, the 20th International Trade Fair "MUSIAD EXPO" and "Halal Expo" exhibitions were held in Istanbul.

A delegation led by Azerbaijan's First Deputy Minister of Economy, Elnur Aliyev, represented the country at the event. During the summit, Azerbaijan's respect for the mission and principles of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), as well as its contributions to the heritage of Islamic solidarity through its rich historical and cultural values, were highlighted. Emphasis was placed on deepening mutually beneficial cooperation with member states of the organization and identifying priority areas for the development of economic and trade relations and business growth.

Additionally, the importance of collaboration and innovation for the sustainable development of the halal industry was emphasized. It was noted that ethical standards and the integration of technological innovations should be prioritized in shaping the future of this sector. The necessity of supporting initiatives and tools for implementing green technologies, which can significantly reduce environmental impact, was also highlighted.

As part of the summit, the Minister of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye, Omer Bolat, and the First Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Elnur Aliyev, visited the “MUSIAD EXPO” 20th International Trade Fair, the “Halal Expo” exhibitions, and the Azerbaijan pavilions.
