Next meeting of the interdepartmental center’s working group on economic issues held in Kalbajar city

A meeting of the Economic Issues Working Group, operating under the Interdepartmental Center established within the Coordination Headquarters for centralized resolution of issues in the liberated territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan, was held in the city of Kalbajar.

At the meeting, the head of the Working Group, First Deputy Minister of Economy Elnur Aliyev, highlighted the implementation of comprehensive and targeted infrastructure projects aimed at accelerating economic revival and enhancing investment attractiveness in the liberated territories under the "First State Program on the Great Return to the Liberated Territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan", approved by the Presidential Decree. He also emphasized ongoing efforts to boost economic activity in these areas, raise awareness among stakeholders, including business entities, about the available incentives and exemptions, and ensure their effective use. This includes granting resident status and registering these entities for tax purposes.

In Kalbajar district, the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Bashir Hajiyev, spoke about the ongoing restoration and reconstruction efforts. He provided information on favorable opportunities for entrepreneurial activities in various fields to support the return of the population to their homeland and ensure employment in the district. He also emphasized that businesspeople could fully capitalize on the business opportunities available in Kalbajar.

During the meeting, discussions were held regarding the measures planned for 2025-2026 within the framework of the implementation of the State Program.

After the meeting, members of the Economic Issues Working Group visited Kelbajar city to inspect the established infrastructure and ongoing reconstruction efforts on-site.
