During the visit, a meeting was held with the minister of energy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, prince Abdulaziz bin Salman Al Saud. The discussion focused on the priority areas of the green energy agenda, the successful outcomes of joint activities in this field, and their benefits for both countries. Opportunities for expanding cooperation on potential projects in energy transition were also discussed.
The meeting highlighted that the efficiency of renewable energy and the increase in the share of alternative energy sources in the energy sector are key issues in the country's economic development strategy. It was emphasized that cooperation with Saudi Arabia in this regard is of great importance.
The Minister of economy met with Saudi Arabia's Minister of Investment, Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih. It was emphasized that economic relations between Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia have been developing, and business relations between the business circles of both countries are expanding.
The parties discussed opportunities for economic diversification, trade, and investment promotion in line with the sustainable development goals of both countries.
