Azerbaijan's Minister of Economy was received by the Prime Minister of Croatia, and the investment potential of both countries was presented at the Croatia-Azerbaijan Economy and Investment Forum held in Zagreb. Discussions were held on expanding joint investments.
Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov has visited Croatia. During the visit, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy was received by Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković. During the meeting, it was noted that the cooperation between Azerbaijan and Croatia is developing dynamically, guided by the political will of the heads of state. Since the signing of the Zagreb Declaration in 2013, Azerbaijan and Croatia have been strengthening their strategic partnership. Discussions with Prime Minister Andrej Plenković focused on key priorities of Azerbaijan-Croatia economic cooperation, including increasing trade and mutual investments, enhancing collaboration in the energy sector, and strengthening business ties.
As part of the visit, the Croatia-Azerbaijan Economy and Investment Forum was held in the city of Zagreb.
At the event, Croatia's Minister of Economy, Ante Šušnjar, emphasized his country's commitment to strengthening economic and trade relations with Azerbaijan. He highlighted that the projects aimed at delivering energy to European markets enhance Azerbaijan's role as a reliable energy supplier. It was also mentioned that Croatian companies have shown interest in participating in economic projects implemented in our country.
The Minister of Economy, Mikayıl Jabbarov, emphasized the development of economic relations between the two countries. Croatia is among Azerbaijan's important trade partners. Investment relations with this country have further improved. Effective partnerships have been established between the state and private companies of both countries. There is great potential for expanding cooperation with Croatia in various sectors, including textiles, transportation and logistics, food industry, pharmaceuticals, construction, agriculture, green energy, tourism, and more. Azerbaijan's Minister of Economy provided information on the country's economic priorities, favorable business environment, and the opportunities available for investors, inviting Croatian investors to engage in active collaboration.
The Vice President of the Croatian Chamber of Economy, Igor Pokaz, and the Executive Director of AZPROMO, Yusif Abdullayev, discussed strengthening partnership relations between the business circles of the two countries, as well as increasing and diversifying joint investments.
At the event, presentations on the business and investment environment of Croatia and Azerbaijan were held.
At the forum, panel discussions were held on the topics "Energy Security and Investment in Diversification: Cooperation between Croatia and Azerbaijan" and "Establishing Strategic Investment Cooperation: Industry and Trade Partnerships."
The event continued with B2B format meetings.
