At the Ministry of Economy, a discussion was held regarding potential areas of cooperation with the World Bank's Regional Director for the South Caucasus.
Minister of Economy Mikayıl Jabbarov met with Mrs. Roland Prays, the World Bank's Regional Director for the South Caucasus.
The meeting expressed satisfaction with the cooperation, highlighting that the projects implemented in infrastructure, employment, and other sectors within the framework of the World Bank Group's partnership have supported the economic development in Azerbaijan. It was emphasized that the institution remains committed to Azerbaijan's development efforts. The new Country Partnership Framework for 2025-2029 is expected to further strengthen the partnership and support Azerbaijan's transition to a greener and more inclusive economy.
The parties exchanged views on joint activities within the framework of the "Green and Sustainable Cities" project, initiatives in infrastructure and renewable energy sectors, as well as other potential areas of collaboration.
