The next meeting of the Coordination Group on the Global Innovation Index, chaired by the Ministry of Economy within the Commission on Business Environment and International Rankings, was held in a video conference format. In addition to the members of the Coordination Group, representatives of the Commission’s relevant working groups and state institutions also participated in the meeting.
Elnur Aliyev, First Deputy Minister of Economy and Head of the Coordination Group, provided information on the measures implemented by the Ministry of Economy and other relevant institutions aimed at improving the business environment and further enhancing the country’s position in international rankings. The meeting emphasized the importance of more efficient use of resources and strengthening coordination with global organizations to better inform the international community about the reforms carried out.
Vusal Shikhaliev, Head of the Commission’s Secretariat and Sector Head at the Department for Economic Policy and Industrial Issues of the Presidential Administration, emphasized the importance of enhancing mutual cooperation and information exchange among the working groups to improve Azerbaijan’s indicators in the Global Innovation Index.
During the meeting, representatives of the working groups provided information on the actions taken and expectations regarding the measures outlined in the action plans related to the Global Innovation Index. Presentations were delivered covering the analysis of Azerbaijan’s indicators in the Index and recommendations for improving the country’s position.
