Within the framework of the “4RI Academy” implemented “National Program,” 30,000 people have joined the trainings so far, and they have successfully completed more than 60,000 training sessions.
The 4th stage of the “National Program” implemented within the framework of the “4IR Academy,” jointly carried out by the Center for Analysis and Coordination of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR Center) under the Ministry of Economy and the Education Development Fund under the Ministry of Science and Education, has been completed. At this stage, 7,500 participants of the “National Program” successfully completed a record number of more than 18,000 training courses on the online education platform “Coursera.” In the previous stages, citizens had successfully completed a maximum of 14,000 courses.
Since April of this year, a total of 30,000 people have had the opportunity to benefit free of charge from the training courses offered on the educational platform within the framework of the Program. Citizens have successfully completed more than 60,000 courses and obtained internationally recognized certificates.
Starting today, the 5th phase of the “National Program” has been launched. Accordingly, the next 7,500 participants will have the opportunity to benefit from the courses offered on the platform over a period of six weeks.
Users of the “National Program” show a strong preference for training in artificial intelligence and data science. In addition, interest has increased in courses on project management, information technology, soft skills, communication and languages, social sciences, as well as business.
Since August, local universities and companies have had the opportunity to offer their courses and training on the “Coursera” platform through the “Course Builder” tool as part of the “National Program.” In total, 25 training programs have already been uploaded to the platform, with users successfully participating in 2,000 training sessions under these programs. Among the 15 most popular trainings for participants of the “National Program,” programs developed by local companies occupy the 2nd, 4th, and 7th positions.

The purpose of the Program is to support the development of knowledge and skills in Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies and to assist in training qualified personnel in this field for the labor market, with the aim of accelerating the transition to a digital economy in the country. On the “Coursera” platform, users of the “National Program” have access to over 12,000 specialized courses and programs offered by nearly 350 of the world’s most prestigious universities and leading technology companies, including Oxford, Stanford, Yale, Duke, London, Edinburgh, Manchester, Michigan, Johns Hopkins, Illinois, Florida, Sydney, as well as Microsoft, Google, Meta, IBM, AWS, Oracle, GitLab, Intel, SAP, and Salesforce.
Participants of the “National Program” can access 2,500 courses on the platform with Azerbaijani subtitles, and the 15 most in-demand courses are available with dubbing using “deep fake” technology (list of courses – https://bit.ly/4ogG5Mw).
Within the framework of the program, tens of thousands of users are expected to benefit from courses on “Coursera,” the world’s largest online learning platform, over the course of one year. The “National Program” is being implemented in partnership with leading companies such as SOCAR, “Pasha Holding,” bp, JOCAP, and “Azerconnect Group.”
It should be noted that during the initial pilot phase of the “4IR Academy,” 10,000 participants benefited from the trainings, earning over 4,200 international certificates. In 2024, the project was awarded the “Excellence Award 2024” by Coursera in the “Artificial Intelligence Innovation” category.
