Investment opportunities in renewable energy with China, increasing export potential, and implementing projects on efficient water resource management and wastewater treatment based on public-private partnerships (PPP) were discussed.
Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov met with Zhong Haixiang, the Chairman of PowerChina Resources Ltd.
The meeting highlighted the dynamic development of relations between Azerbaijan and China, expressing satisfaction with the successful implementation of strategic documents and agreements signed in recent years. It was emphasized that the economic reforms led by President Ilham Aliyev, along with the goals of green energy and sustainable development, open new opportunities for the Azerbaijan-China cooperation.
Both parties underlined the prospects for cooperation in the application of modern technologies and innovative solutions, as well as the importance of diversifying joint activities. They also reviewed opportunities for investment in renewable energy, increasing export potential, and carrying out projects on efficient water resource management and wastewater treatment based on public-private partnerships.
It was stressed that the projects implemented within the framework of the Azerbaijan-China cooperation contribute to the country’s transition to green energy, expansion of export potential, and strengthening of ecological sustainability.
