A meeting was held at the Ministry of Economy to discuss prospects for cooperation with the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov met with ADB Vice-President for Market Solutions Bhargav Dasgupta. At the meeting, the steps taken and results achieved in expanding Azerbaijan–ADB cooperation were positively highlighted.
The parties discussed opportunities for joint activities within the framework of ADB’s Country Partnership Strategy for Azerbaijan covering 2025–2029. The discussions evaluated support for private sector development, privatization of state-owned enterprises, improving SMEs’ access to financing resources, and the implementation and strengthening of public–private partnership mechanisms.
It was noted that economic diversification, ensuring inclusive development, and establishing sustainable partnership platforms are among the main goals of Azerbaijan–ADB cooperation. The meeting also addressed renewable energy projects, the realization of the economic potential of the liberated territories, and prospects for cooperation in the green energy sector.
