Seminar Held on Azerbaijani Companies’ Entry into the Turkish Market

At a seminar held in Baku, representatives of Azerbaijan’s private sector were informed about export procedures for entering the Turkish market.

A seminar titled “Access to the Turkish Market: Export, Legal and Practical Aspects” was organized in Baku for representatives of local private companies.

At the opening of the event, Azerbaijan’s Trade Representative in Türkiye, Tamerlan Taghiyev, and the Chief Trade Counselor of the Embassy of Türkiye in Azerbaijan, Gulizar Yavas, provided information on Azerbaijan–Türkiye trade cooperation and the procedures for Azerbaijani companies to operate in the Turkish market.

Within the framework of the seminar, participants were briefed in detail by Turkish experts on the country’s customs system, import-export operations, product certification and compliance standards (such as Turkish Standards Institution, CE marking, International Organization for Standardization), logistics mechanisms, digital sales opportunities, and the legal framework.

As part of the event, B2B meetings were held between Azerbaijani producers and visiting Turkish potential buyers and company representatives, organized by the Trade Representation of Azerbaijan in Türkiye. During the meetings, the parties discussed cooperation opportunities and reached preliminary agreements on a number of mutually interesting issues.
