The State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the Ministry of Economy hosted a meeting with representatives of the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE).
The Chief of the State Service, Mammad Abbasbeyli, delivered information about the activities of the institution and ongoing reforms in priority areas, speaking of the measures implemented within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding and the Action Plan signed between Azerbaijan Standardization Institute (AZSTAND) Public Legal Entity and the Turkish Standards Institute, and stressing that AZSTAND has the right to publish official editions of more than 9,000 Turkish national standards in the country, as well as the importance of cooperation with TSE.
Chairman of the Turkish Standards Institute Mahmud Sami Shahin voiced the importance of further expanding effective relations and joint activities with Azerbaijan Standardization Institute.
The meeting reached an agreement on the organization of mutual visits between the two institutions in order to exchange experience.
