Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov met with Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) Baghdad Amreyev.
The Minister of Economy voiced the successful cooperation of the Turkic-speaking countries, and the importance of further strengthening partnerships and economic ties in the direction of supporting the national and regional economies. According to Mr.Jabbarov, strengthening cooperation recently in the areas of trade, investment, digitalization, etc., along with other areas of the economy, is one of the main tasks. In this regard, the establishment of the Turkish Investment Fund and Turkish Trade Houses, the facilitation of trade procedures, the digital economy, and the formation of a cooperation platform between the free economic and industrial zones of our countries are significant initiatives to expand relations. Talking of the prospects for strengthening economic partnership, the Minister stressed the importance of expanding ties and trade partnerships between business circles, as well as the significance of the Shusha Turkish Business Forum held on September 16 in this regard.
The Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States, Baghdad Amreyev, emphasized the mutual friendly and fraternal relations of the member states of the organization, and the dynamic development of relations, and also expressed his views on new directions.
The meeting also discussed issues of developing cooperation within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States, expanding relations between member states in the field of digital trade, services and investments, etc.
