Regular Digital Trade Working Group meeting held

The regular meeting of the Digital Trade Working Group took place in order to ensure the implementation of issues arising from the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the field of digital trade, signed between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Turkey.

The meeting, chaired by Tamerlan Taghiyev, Executive Director of the Center for Analysis and Coordination of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR) under the Ministry of Economy, was also attended by representatives of the relevant state institutions of Turkey responsible for the implementation of the issues arising from the Memorandum.

The meeting informed of the work done in the field of measuring the digital trade index, customs operations and related legislation, with an exchange of views on ensuring effective coordination of activities to be implemented.

Note that for the purpose of ensuring the implementation of the provisions of the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the field of digital trade, signed between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Turkey, the relevant Working Group has been established in the Ministry of Economy according to the order of the Cabinet of Ministers. The Working Group consists of representatives of 11 government agencies, and the coordination of the Group's activities is entrusted to the C4IR.
