Moldovan Prime Minister met with Azerbaijani business circles

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, Ms. Natalia Gavrilita, met with representatives of business circles during her visit to Azerbaijan.

Ms. Natalia Gavrilitsa noted that her country puts special emphasis on the development of relations with Azerbaijan, the role of discussions in developing cooperation and establishing new business ties, as well as the importance of expanding relations between business circles and implementing new joint projects in various fields. The Prime Minister spoke about the work done in the direction of attracting investments, developing entrepreneurship, supporting small and medium-sized businesses in Moldova, and invited business circles to active cooperation.

The event emphasized that trade and investment relations are one of the main areas of the Azerbaijani-Moldovan cooperation. In January-August this year, the trade turnover increased 4 times and our export 13 times compared to the same period last year. About 30 Moldovan companies do business in various fields in Azerbaijan.

Deputy Minister of Economy Sahib Mammadov talked of the partnership between our countries, stressing the importance of the event in broadening trade and economic ties and cooperation between business circles. The Deputy Minister of Economy informed of the favorable business and investment environment in Azerbaijan, mechanisms to support entrepreneurs, construction projects realized in our liberated territories, the activities of industrial zones, and the opportunities of Alat Free Economic Zone.

The meeting presented the investment environment of Moldova, answered to entrepreneurs' questions and made proposals on ways to widen relations between business circles.
