Azerbaijan-Russia Business Council meeting held

The next meeting of the Azerbaijan-Russia Business Council was held in Baku. In addition to official representatives, more than 90 organizations and entities from various sectors of the economy, including agriculture, machine engineering, oil and chemical industries, banking, logistics, and other areas, participated in the event.

In his speech at the event, Minister of Economy Mikayıl Jabbarov highlighted the development of cooperation between the two countries and emphasized the importance of the Azerbaijan-Russia Business Council as a partnership mechanism in the context of diversifying economic and trade relations. He noted that the implementation of joint investment projects and the realization of bilateral trade potential are strengthening ties between business circles, which contributes to the economic development of both countries.

Samad Gurbanov, providing information on the activities of the Azerbaijan-Russia Business Council established by the business communities of both countries, discussed the efforts made by the organization to develop trade and business relations between the two countries. He also highlighted the work being done to support the interests of the Azerbaijani business community.

In accordance with the meeting agenda, elections were held for the Board of Directors of the Azerbaijan-Russia Business Council. Emin Agalarov, the founder of "Agalarov Development," was elected as the chairman of the Board, while Yusif Abdullayev, the executive director of AZPROMO, and Gambar Bananyarlı, the director of "Nardaran Invest" LLC, were elected as vice-chairmen.

The newly elected Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan-Russia Business Council, Emin Agalarov, emphasized the importance of the Council's activities in intensifying business dialogue among entrepreneurs and expanding partnership opportunities for the business communities of both countries.

At the event, Samad Gurbanov was awarded a Certificate of Honor for his contribution to the development of economic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation.

It should be noted that the Business Council, which has been operating since 2016, actively cooperates with the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, the Russia-Azerbaijan Business Council, and other state institutions and relevant public organizations of both countries.
