Discussions were held with Latvia on the export of non-oil products produced in our country, alternative energy, agriculture, food safety and other directions.
Deputy Minister of Economy Sahib Mammadov met with Deputy Minister of Agriculture Normunds Schmits of the Republic of Latvia.
The role of high-level mutual visits and meetings in the expansion of relations between Azerbaijan and Latvia was mentioned at the meeting, and information was given about the economic reforms carried out in our country, the favorable investment environment and the applied concessions. It was pointed out that Latvian companies have wide opportunities for cooperation in the restoration and reconstruction of our territories liberated from occupation, in projects implemented in industrial parks, in the Alat Free Economic Zone, as well as in other economic fields.
The parties exchanged views at the meeting on expanding economic and trade relations, including export of non-oil and gas products produced in our country, participation in joint projects, cooperation in agriculture, alternative energy, food safety and other areas.
