The academy was selected from 170 projects submitted by 42 countries for its contributions to preparing qualified personnel in the labor market, developing digital skills, enhancing knowledge in advanced technologies, ensuring inclusivity, engaging citizens from Baku and the regions in the program, and implementing innovative solutions.

Coursera, the world's most popular educational platform, awards the "Outstanding Achievement Award" annually to partners that achieve significant milestones in human capital development. The selection process is based on various indicators, including the number of individuals engaged in online education on the platform, the number of international certifications obtained, the increase in knowledge leading to career advancement, and other related metrics. The final stage of the competition will take place on September 17 in Las Vegas, USA.

The purpose of the "4Sİ Academy" is to support the development of digital skills, enhance knowledge in advanced technologies, and train qualified personnel for the labor market in the country. Within the framework of the project, 10,000 people across the country have benefited from the "Coursera" online education platform free of charge over the course of one year. Participants have been offered access to nearly 800 courses from 40 universities, such as Yale, Duke, Michigan, London, Illinois, and Virginia, as well as from technology companies like Microsoft, IBM, Meta, and Google, covering topics related to the fourth industrial revolution, digital transformation, career development, and language skills. Users have engaged in over 32,000 hours of video lectures in areas including 4Sİ technologies, artificial intelligence, machine learning, big data, data analytics, blockchain and cloud technologies, programming languages, as well as leadership, communication, business, management, and other fields. Those who successfully completed the training programs have received more than 4,000 international certificates in total.
