Discussions on the new generation economy, green development, and other issues were held at the 3rd OIC Brain Centers Forum titled 'New Generation Economy: Challenges and Perspectives' organized in Baku.
The 3rd OIC Brain Centers Forum on 'New Generation Economy: Challenges and Perspectives' was held with the organization of the Ministry of Economy, the Scientific Research Institute of the Ministry of Economy (ESRI), the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and Turkey's 'IKSAD' Institute. Representatives from relevant institutions and universities, representatives from OIC countries, and individuals contributing articles and theses to the Forum participated in the event.
Deputy Minister of Economy Samad Bashirli provided information on the economic reforms being implemented in Azerbaijan against the backdrop of global challenges of the new era, the effective economic cooperation of our country with international organizations, and the potential directions for partnerships that meet the requirements of the new generation economy. The importance of brain centers in exploring solutions and opportunities for economic problems in the region was emphasized. The Brain Centers Forum was evaluated as an important platform for the development of scientific-research relations among countries in the region. Additionally, the participants were informed about Azerbaijan's potential as a transit country.
Chairman of the Board of ESRI, Shahin Sadiqov, shared his thoughts on the contributions of research centers and institutes to the formation of state policy and provided information about the OIC Research Center that will be established in Baku.
At the event, the text of the speech by Jandos Asanov, the Deputy Secretary-General of the OIC, was read for the forum. The speech discussed the development of mutually beneficial relations in the field of brain centers and expressed gratitude for the organization of the Brain Centers Forum
The director of the 'IKSAD' Institute, Mustafa Latif Emek, shared his thoughts on the economic benefits of joint research that will be carried out within the framework of partnerships among the brain centers and institutes in the region.
At the event, panel discussions were held on sessions titled 'Green Development: Energy, Infrastructure, and National Strategies,' 'New Economic Thinking and Digitalization,' and 'Within the Scope of New Generation Economy,' featuring representatives from OIC countries and local participants.
At the forum, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Economic Scientific Research Institute regarding cooperation.
During the event, participants were presented with publications from ESRI. Additionally, there was a presentation of the book 'New Generation Economy: Digitalization and Development' by the First Deputy Chairman of the Board of ESRI, Ph.D. Arzu Huseynova.
