Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov met with Lorenzo Simonelli, Chairman and CEO of Baker Hughes, within the framework of COP29.
The meeting discussed ongoing projects within the framework of collaboration with the company, as well as cooperation aimed at increasing productivity and efficiency in production through the application of innovative approaches and modern technologies. The issues of sustainable business solutions, activities aimed at reducing emissions, and partnership in decarbonization were also addressed.
The parties emphasized the importance of effectively utilizing the country's rich potential in green energy, organizing climate action in line with international standards, and increasing investments in renewable energy. The promotion of energy transition and the contributions the company can make to the country's green future, as well as the prospects for the development of partnership with SOCAR, were discussed.
