Renewable energy projects and green hydrogen initiatives were discussed at the meeting with the Vice-Chancellor of Germany within the framework of COP29.
Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov and Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov met with Germany’s Vice-Chancellor and Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Action Robert Habeck as part of COP29.
The meeting emphasized the importance Azerbaijan attaches to the economic relations with the European Union countries, as well as Germany, including cooperation in ensuring green energy security. Partnership opportunities between the countries in trade, investment, alternative energy, climate action, participation in the restoration of the liberated territories, and other areas were pointed out.
The parties discussed the current state of the economic relations, the use of the great wind energy potential in the Caspian Sea, the participation of German companies in renewable energy projects, initiatives in the field of green hydrogen, and cooperation in the development of green energy corridor infrastructure.
