Since September 1, the investment and trade potential of Azerbaijan has been demonstrated at the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS). With the support of the Ministry of Economy and the organization of the Trade Representative Office of Azerbaijan in China, our country has been participating in CIFTIS, held in Beijing, for the fourth year.
In addition to the investment potential of Azerbaijan, which has a single country stand, high-quality and competitive products are also presented at the exhibition. The stand presents extensive information about Alat Free Economic Zone, industrial parks and international transport routes passing through our country. In addition, exhibitors are provided with extensive information about the services that the Export and Investment Promotion Agency - AZPROMO, the Agency for the Development of Economic Zones under the Ministry of Economy, and the Center for Analysis and Coordination of the Fourth Industrial Revolution can provide to foreign investors and potential cooperation with these institutions. A corner on the topic "Innovate for a Greener Future" was arranged at the SOCAR booth, which provides information on the long-term strategic goals for the period up to 2035 in such areas as energy, digitalization and innovation as part of the new SOCAR Corporate Strategy.
It is worthy of noting that about 200 events are planned to be held at the exhibition, which will last until September 5. One of them is the forum "Azerbaijan – Investment and Trade Opportunities", which will be jointly organized by the Trade Representative Office of Azerbaijan in China and the China Association for International Economic Cooperation. Furthermore, Azerbaijan's trade representative in China Teymur Nadiroghlu will make a report on the investment potential of our country at the "Access to Foreign Countries" summit, which will be held within the framework of the exhibition.
For informational purposes: CIFTIS is among the most important international exhibitions held in China. The total area of the exhibition is 152 thousand sq.m, increasing by 26 thousand sq.m compared to the previous year. 446 large companies representing different countries globally are participating in the exhibition. CIFTIS' permanent slogan is "Global Services, Shared Prosperity", and this year's fair is held under the slogan "Cooperate for Better Development, Innovate for a Greener Future". The exhibition, furthermore, focuses on topics such as ecology and environmental protection, "green" energy saving, financial technologies and artificial intelligence.
