The current state of the Azerbaijan – UN cooperation and the future development prospects have been explored.
Within the framework of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), First Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Elnur Aliyev has met with Amina Mohammed, the Deputy Secretary-General of the UN.
During the meeting, the current state of the Azerbaijan – UN cooperation and the future development prospects were discussed. The parties highlighted Azerbaijan’s success in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the importance of the reforms being implemented in this area.
During the discussions, the sides shared views on the initiatives underway in economic development, green energy, sustainable urbanization and regional cooperation. The parties also drew attention to Azerbaijan’s projects contributing to the sustainable development agenda, strengthening the regional economic relations, expanding transport and logistics opportunities.
