Exhibition of local companies on the theme "Heydar Aliyev and Azerbaijani entrepreneurship" started its work

Products and services of more than 150 companies are presented and bilateral meetings are held between entrepreneurs at the exhibition of local companies on the theme "Heydar Aliyev and Azerbaijani entrepreneurship".

 

The exhibition of local companies on the theme "Heydar Aliyev and Azerbaijani entrepreneurship" has started in "Baku Crystal Hall". Heads of relevant state institutions, representatives of public associations of entrepreneurs, as well as businessmen operating in various fields took part at the event dedicated to the opening of the exhibition.

The event began with the singing of the national anthem of Azerbaijan, a minute's silence in memory of the great leader Heydar Aliyev and our martyrs who died for the territorial integrity of our country.

Deputy Minister of Economy Sahib Mammadov stated in his speech that Heydar Aliyev, the founder of the independent state of Azerbaijan, an outstanding statesman played an exceptional role in the formation and development of the economy as well as in other fields, including the private sector, in our country based on the principles of market relations, and currently the great leader's policy of socio-economic development of Azerbaijan is being successfully continued by President Mr. Ilham Aliyev. It was reported that the business and investment environment in our country is continuously improving, the legislative framework and support tools regulating entrepreneurial activity are being improved based on modern challenges. Measures will be continued in the coming period for the purpose of entrepreneurship development and business stimulation.

Chairman of Food Safety Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan Goshgar Tahmezli said that the Agency bases its activities on the principles of partnership with entrepreneurs, transparency and accountability, impartiality and neutrality, primacy of consumer interests, innovation, efficiency and result-oriented, risk-based approach and compliance with international requirements. A number of business associations were established and 190 events were organized during the activity of the agency together with chambers of commerce in order to inform and educate entrepreneurs about the food safety system, as well as to ensure public-private sector cooperation with businessmen, meetings were held with more than 21,900 entrepreneurs, and 35,084 enterprises were registered for food safety and included in the state register.

The Chairman of the Management Board of KOBIA, Orkhan Mammadov, emphasized that the development of small and medium-sized businesses in our country and increasing the role of SMEs in the economy are among the priority areas and he informed about the measures taken in this field, the support and services provided by the Agency to SMEs.

Tural Mustafayev, Chairman of the Board of Directors of "Marsol Group" and "National Association of Businessmen" Public Union, and Farid Hidayatzade, member of the Board of Directors of "Kapital Bank" OJSC, provided information about the support to entrepreneurs in our country and the activities of the organizations they represent.

Then a film “The first century of eternity. Heydar Aliyev 100” dedicated to the life and activities of the national leader Heydar Aliyev was demonstrated, and the participants got acquainted with the exhibition.

It should be noted that the purpose of the exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the national leader Heydar Aliyev is to remind once again of the services of the great leader in the restoration and development of entrepreneurial traditions in our country, as well as to promote the Azerbaijani companies more widely, to expand access to markets, develop business partnerships between businessmen and to build new partnerships. Products and services of more than 150 local companies operating in industry, agriculture, food, ICT, education, construction, logistics, textile and other fields are demonstrated at the exhibition. The main advantage of the exhibition, which will last until June 10, is the presentation of products and services for all sectors of the economy. Bilateral meetings will also be held between businessmen within the framework of the exhibition.   

Panel discussions will be organized as part of the exhibition on the following topics in "Baku Crystal Hall" - "Great return - investment opportunities and concessions in the liberated territories" on June 9, "Economic transformation against the backdrop of modern challenges: formation of competitive and sustainable businesses" on June 10.
