Panel session held on "Dialogue in agriculture and food industry: current challenges and modern solutions"

A panel session was held on cooperation in the field of agriculture and food industry within the framework of the Azerbaijan-Turkey Investment Forum.

A panel session was organized on "Dialogue in the fields of agriculture and food industry: current challenges and modern solutions" within the framework of the Azerbaijan-Turkey Investment Forum. 

Majnun Mammadov, Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilhama Gadimova, Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Goshgar Tahmezli, Chairman of the Food Safety Agency, Head of the State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control Mammad Abbasbeyli, Abubekr Gizligider, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Turkey, Savash Uzan, member of the Board of Directors of "Azersun Holding", Avni Demirci, Chairman of the Board of Directors of "Makrolizing" LLC and director of Dost Agropark, Mehmet Zeki Tughrul made speech in the session moderated by Anar Jafarov, director of the Center for Agrarian Innovations.

It was pointed out that the creation of an innovative agribusiness environment and its development in accordance with modern challenges are extremely important. The state supports the application of innovations and modern technologies in agriculture, as in all fields in our country. Thus, one of the main directions of action in the "Socio-Economic Development Strategy for 2022-2026 " approved by the head of state, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, is "development of sustainable and competitive agriculture and agribusiness".

​It was emphasized that as a result of the implementation of the activities defined in the strategy, agricultural production, processing, sales, including the application of modern technologies, will increase productivity in rural areas, and new jobs will be created.

Discussions were held at the event on the priority directions of cooperation in the field of agriculture, ensuring the safety of the supply of agricultural products, promising innovation projects in this field, and information was provided on the incentives provided in the field of agriculture in our country.
